As a third-year visual communications major, I found this class to be an interesting and exciting experience as I watched how an entire magazine is made. It has also allowed me to do something I've never really done before: write an article. Although I work at The Daily Gamecock, I've always been behind the scenes creating layouts and supervising designers.
I got lucky with my article assignment.
Jack Bryan was the perfect person to interview for my first article. He was easy to get in touch with, and in our interview he exuded the love and appreciation he has for his alma mater, and the concern he has for current and future students. Right away his passion shined through, because halfway through our interview, he started interviewing me, asking me about my experience at USC and the CMCIS.
Jack Bryan is a very kind and generous man, and a true asset to the entire College of Mass Communications and Information Studies community.
