My assignment for InterCom was to cover Davis College’s 100th birthday party. Davis College is a building that is not only important to the School of Library and Information Science, but also to the University of South Carolina as a whole.
I really enjoyed working with Dr. Hastings, director of SLIS, for this project. Her enthusiasm and passion for her work are truly contagious! She was always available when I needed help with my article, or even just to talk.
In addition to meeting the wonderful people of SLIS, I also was able to attend the birthday party tea. This was a great time for me to absorb everything that was going on around me and mingle with some of Carolina’s finest.
This class with Professor Sisk has been one of the best classes I have taken at USC. Each of us students in the class will have a published copy of our stories by the end of the semester that we can show people for years to come. Not many people can say the same.
